The Work.

Psychotherapy is an opportunity to explore what happens in the present — not simply explain what happened in the past.

Exploration

Psychotherapy begins with curiosity. Rather than assuming we already know why we think, feel, or behave as we do, we examine what happens as it happens. This means paying attention not only to the stories we tell about ourselves, but also to the thoughts, feelings, and reactions that emerge in the moment.
